The Indian Navy can be joined through various form of exams or eligibility that are mentioned below:

  • NDA/NA Entry:

For this entry only male candidates are allowed with an average age limit of 6.5 to 19.5 years, the minimum education qualification required is 10+2 with physics and maths as a major subject. To join the Nation Defense Academy all the aspirants should appear in the written exams and in the Service Selection Board interview process that is handled by the Union Public Service Commission.

  • Through 10+2 B.Tech Entry:

If you have a science background in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as a core subject and having a minimum 70% marks in this stream then you are eligible for Indian Navy. A minimum of 50% marks in the English subject is required for class 10th and 12th as well.

  • Through CDSE:

CDSE is yet another form of entrance examination commonly known as Combined Defense Services. This exam is basically for those who have completed their graduation with 10+2 in science stream. The graduates should be a Bachelor of Engineering candidates for appearing this exam and get entry in the Indian Navy. Graduates appearing in final year are also eligible for this exam.

  • Other Graduate Entries:

In the Other form of graduate entries, there are no written tests, the calls are directly made through the SSB based cut off percentage of the qualifying exam and the minimum age limit is between 18-25 years.
